Dust In the Air
I have something to say to those of you who have asked me why I have not been making any public comments on the current conditions in Tehran. Iran’s present day population is 98% Islamic. Though I have Muslim friends and I recognize their beliefs which are “peaceful” and greet them with equal respect, I am not Muslim; I am Buddhist.
Julius Ceasar once stated “Render unto Ceasar the things which are Ceasar’s, and unto God the things which are God’s”! Being one of those few Americans who never supported the idea of the Shah’s imposition, it is not my place to make public outcries surrounding the present conditions in Iran. I believe that the matter is best decided by those involved: “Iranians” and not Americans. A great deal of dust is still in the air concerning the elections and until it settles I feel the Iranian people are best served without interference from abroad.
I would remind any Americans caught up in Iran’s current situation, that the American press (in print and by t.v. media and the internet), has a growing number of Zionist expansionists among it’s membership, who will obiously put a distorted spin onto this predicament. They also have a few foot-soldiers in many US businesses including the US military, the Federal Reserve Bank, investment banks and various branches of the US government! Any US politicans who chose to utilize this situation to advance their own agenda will be doing more harm than good to the situation as a whole! John McCain for one, has no business talking about rigged-elections, when he himself was silent when the Bush administration was being accused of the exact same thing. Furthermore, anyone trying to force-feed “American ideals” down the throat of Iran have nothing to sell. Having condoned and/or used torture, spied illegally on our own citizenry and invaded Iraq without so much as a shred of evidence to support such an atrocity; all while allowing a long list of millionaire felons to go scot-free!
No, this is not the time for Americans to throw gasoline on the fires which burn in the Middle East, it is time for America to get back to being something to respect in the first place! And I wish only the best of a peaceful solution for the Iranian peoples!
