President Barack Obama, Vice President Biden, their administration and their Party all possess some outstanding qualities, as well as some impressive personnel. The president himself has said that the United States was hit by an economic tsunami that has had far-reaching consequences, beyond that of the Great Depression. So why are they and everyone that has been addressing them about such a catastrophe so adamant on treating the event as a typical, severe recession that’s containable within a two to three year time frame? In the actual sense the damages will demand something in the order of 10 to 12 years! And that’s if the necessary requirements to keep people remaining optimistic enough to be patient, understanding and versatile prevail!
At this point in time it seems that all the some-bodies, as well as the no-bodies have each taken their turn at interpreting this economic fix the world is in, yet no one seems brave enough to actually swallow the medicine! Some of the more profound aspects that make this spectacle unique are:
- China needs to transform its export-led success into a domestic, consumer-led economy at home
- Both the US and UK have nothing to sell that the world needs except outsourced jobs and bulldozers, with perhaps a few dozen jet airliners thrown in
- The US has no savings, though its consumers appear to have just begun to take this concept seriously
- The US government is broke and it’s living on borrowed time
- The Federal Reserve Bank should “be no more” and is out of control; the people don’t want it, but the robber barons do
- The US housing industry is in shambles and will remain so for the next foreseeable ten years
- The US has no new industries to bail them out of the current unemployment numbers
- The newly elected US majority in the Senate talks tough, but is weak on consensus
- Inflation lies across the horizon as an almost unavoidable obstacle
- The brand of “change” that US voters were expecting appears yet lost and inevitable to persist out of sync
- Washington insists it’s talking for the majority of Americans, when they reiterate that the people don’t want to place blame. This is a major “bologna”! Of course they want all culprits on deck to be not only identified, but dealt with harshly. However, Washington insists on protecting the very culprits that were the cause and have even rewarded them with further American taxpayer dollars. And this cuts to the core of the very reason the “recovery” could go beyond a 10 year period.
One thing is certain; the Obama administration has swerved way off the road with its “inclusive” and “bi-partisan” rhetoric! Trying to set out salt-licks in hopes of attracting bi-partisanship won’t do you a hill-of-beans, if your own Party isn’t first unified! The Democrats are making some profound errors early on in their term, even after they had the world handed to them on a silver platter. Fixing a catastrophic event has nothing to do with being nice, well-liked or overly sensitive to not step on anyone’s toes.. In fact, it requires the complete opposite! What is occurring as we speak now is that the Democrats, by choosing the road to “touchy-feely land”, are not delivering it’s voting supporters the genuine “change” that they asked for, namely to abolish the Federal Reserve system, get Goldman Sachs the hell out of the U.S. government and hog-tie Wall Street to a whipping post, without bailouts. They are instead rewarding failed big businesses, failed executives and the culprit-causes within the system itself and are ignoring the people’s specific wishes.
Having been delivered a landslide victory they have thus far, proven to me only that they fear success, can’t handle much of any heat and are completely offline from their constituents. If they continue following this practice much longer, the Democrats will not only lengthen the recovery period to 20 years in the making, but cause people’s memory to forget the individuals and industries that were actually to blame in the first place and get the entire mountain of blame dumped upon themselves! I dare say, at this rate they are proving to deserving!
